Check out this opportunity to lead College-Age Ministry (CAM) groups at the Blankenbaker Campus. You’ll connect men and women ages 18-25 to a community that fosters connection and spiritual growth, while providing support and resources for groups and missions opportunities for CAM all SE campuses.

WHAT YOU’LL ACTUALLY BE DOING:

  • Provide vision and structure for the CAM groups model at the Blankenbaker campus; partner with others to provide CAM groups ministry vision and support for all campuses as they develop CAM expressions
  • Partner with universities and college ministries to create intentional pathways and strategies for students to make a SE campus their home church
  • Empower and equip volunteers and leaders to foster community, growth and discipleship in their group
  • Foster a culture of belonging and purpose; help people build relationships with one another and pursue service opportunities within CAM, SE and/or with our local partners
  • Relationally invest and be committed to the people leading, both on campus at SE but also in the lives, homes, and work places of people throughout our city
  • Create a strategy for building community within the volunteer team(s), understanding that genuine relationship and belonging foster lonvevity and commitment
  • Create a strategy for discipleship within the groups model
  • Plan local missional opportunities within the infrastructure of the groups community; create best practices for other SE campuses to develop missional opportunities for their CAM groups
  • Work alongside the CAM Lead Collaborator and the College Ministry team within a collaborative ministry model.  Participate in and lead at CAM events and programs such as Bible & Beach, classes, annual retreats, and conferences.
  • Perform various pastoral duties such as weddings, funerals, baptisms, and counseling.
 
OUT MUST HAVES:
  • Model a Christ-like way of living in life and doctrine
  • Ability to develop and equip others with intentionality and clarity; actively challenge and encourage others to take the next step in their development and provide them with resources and opportunities to reach their full potential in Christ as it corresponds to their specific calling and gifting
  • Ability to navigate the complexity of multi-site ministry with wisdom and effectiveness; has a thorough understanding of the cultural and contextual needs and differences of each SE campus so that support and resources can be provided
  • Ability to provide CAM support and vision to staff/volunteers at all SE campuses
  • Ability to shepherd and pastor people with grace and truth; cares for the people God has entrusted to them no matter what their needs (spiritual, physical, emotional, etc.); meets people where they are and loves them like Christ
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to leaders, peers and those leading; high capacity to communicate verbally and in written formats so as to empower people with the knowledge that they need to move forward effectively
  • Ability to inspire and motivate people; create energy and engagement that fosters a commitment to work towards goals and accomplish the mission
  • Ability to build relationships with people; works toward establishing connection and relationship with people inside of the ministry and outside of the ministry; capable of quickly building trust and reciprocating that trust with others
  • Ability to build effective and relationally connected teams; gather groups of individuals together to create unity of purpose and mission while recognizing the unique gifting of each person and positioning them to live out their calling
  • Knowledge of Rock database system and groups registration processes; ability to understand and use Rock as a means of building and maintaining groups registration, groups metrics, and groups communication
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Ministry/Bible degree preferred
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in ministry; College-age ministry experience preferred
  • Engaged member of Southeast Christian Church who supports the statement of faith, submits to the leadership established by the church, and lives out the mantras of SE in tangible ways.
