Description
Do you have the gifts of administration and hospitality?  Would you love overseeing the campus environment to insure everyone feels welcomed, valued, loved, and served while they are there?  Would you enjoy being part of a new Southeast campus family?  The First Impressions Coordinator/Administrative Assistant for the River Valley campus will recruit, lead and train volunteer teams to create and maintain an environment that is welcoming to participants.  This person will also support the River Valley Campus Pastor with administrative and organizational tasks and coordinate with the campus staff to achieve the mission, vision, and strategies of Southeast Christian Church.
 

 

Essential Functions

  • Establish the tone and provide the leadership/training to volunteers in order to welcome everyone onto the campus.
  • Recruit volunteers and provide leadership, training and coordination for the following teams:  
    • Parking
    • Greeters
    • Welcome Center
    • Communion Preparation
    • Ushers
    • Connection Center
    • Communion Servers/Offering Collectors
    • Building Hosts
    • Set up and tear down teams for events
    • Cleaning and facility care
    • Liaison for Living Word 
  • Oversee sanctuary materials replenishment / refreshing.
  • Responsible for recruiting, training and coordinating building hosts.
  • Responsible for recruiting medical professional volunteers to be on site for weekend services and special events.
  • Prepare sanctuary for weekend services (i.e., replace bibles, pens, offering envelopes, etc.).
  • Ensure the collection of offering follows all procedures set in place by the Accounting and Security ministries.
  • Utilize facility scheduling software and website to schedule and approve event requests.
  • Act as liaison between the ministry/organization requesting the event and the ministry/vendor who will provide the service to make each event/meeting a success and seamless to the public eye.
  • Daily interaction/effective communication with staff, members, visitors, volunteers and community.
  • Manage emails, phone calls, calendars, ROCK database, correspondence, and other administrative duties for the Campus Pastor.
  • Lead special projects as assigned.

  • Proficient with MS Office with ability to learn new computer programs.

 

Required Education, Experience, and Membership

  • Engaged member of SCC (or willing to become a member); supporting the Statement of Faith and submitting to the leadership established by the church.
  • College graduate preferred.
  • Experience recruiting and leading teams or volunteers.
