THIS IS WHAT YOU WOULD GET TO DO:
- Engage in mission/vision of SECC by unleashing and shepherding missional communities, namely of SECC members and attendees, in their campus’ surrounding community
- Identify/recruit, train, unleash and provide ongoing coaching of SECC members and attendees who are developing disciple-makers in pursuit of connecting people to Jesus and one another in their community
- Have a close working relationship with other campus ministries and Campus Pastor in order to align community engagement ministry to the campus discipleship model and facilitate engagement opportunities between campus and community
- Oversee Campus Missions Team in partnership with Campus Pastor and SECC Missions Department
- Partner with campus’ adult team (i.e. Campus Pastor, Connections Minister, Women’s Ministry Leader, etc.) in connection of new members/attendees to engagement within SECC, both on campus and in the community (i.e. Starting Point, Membership Class, campus hosting, etc.)
- Engage and partner with local faith/like-minded leaders embedded in the community for purposes of prayer, restoration and community transformation
- Develop and foster relationships with local schools, churches, and other organizations
- Invest in community through local leadership/organizational infrastructure (housing associations, chamber of commerce etc.
- In partnership with Ministry CDT Lead and Campus Pastor, have an eye for potential campus expansion opportunities in assigned zip code area
- Develop tools and training aids to support missional communities and equip SECC members and attendees for missional living within their community
- Other pastoral duties as assigned; such as, baptisms, weddings, funerals, MOC, etc.
YOU ALREADY OWN:
- A love for the lost in our community, and a demonstrated ability to, maturely, serve and interact well with people from all ages and walks of life
- Lots of experience overseeing volunteers and leaders
- Demonstrated experience identifying, recruiting and developing lay leaders
- Strong organizational skills
- Decisive/Solutions oriented/Conflict management skills
- High levels of self-motivation and drive, and an entrepreneurial spirit
OUR EXPECTATIONS!
- Undergraduate degree required
- Ordained into ministry (or pursuant within first 90 days of employment)
- Must make best effort to live in, or move to, assigned region within first year of employment
- Must be a mature Christian who is thoroughly grounded in the Word of God, demonstrates a commitment to the doctrine and practice of SECC and the Restoration Movement
- Engaged member of Southeast Christian Church who supports the Statement of Faith and submits to the leadership established by the church
