Description

Our Church growth is happening and we are hiring 3 Maintenance Technicians to join our facilities team. Do you have the skills to maintain the interior of buildings at one of our campuses and keep them in excellent working order? The Maintenance Technician will perform technical facilities maintenance within designated areas in alignment with our mission of connecting people to Jesus and each other. Must be able to work occasional nights and weekends on a rotational basis.

Essential Functions

  • Receives work orders from supervisor and carries them out to their completion daily.
  • Performs repairs, adjustments and maintenance on commercial or residential building systems, including plumbing, HVAC, electrical equipment; maintains boilers, motors, fans and related mechanical equipment.
  • Operates computerized HVAC control systems; monitors and adjusts controls.
  • Performs regularly scheduled maintenance of building systems: replaces belts, bearings, and seals; changes filters; lubricates parts; cleans coils; cuts and replaces pipe.
  • Performs carpentry tasks: repairs furniture, builds cabinets, repairs doors and performs minor remodeling.
  • Paints interior and exterior building surfaces; paints fixtures and furniture.

Required Education, Experience, and Membership

  • Industrial maintenance certification or in a related field preferred. Journeyman level experience is a requirement.
  • High school diploma.
  • A wide range of mechanical skills, including skilled use of tools and power equipment. Any specialty in maintenance is desirable.
  • One year or more of building maintenance experience, preferable in a large building.
  • Ability to skillfully operate in a Windows Operating System and to operate building management systems.
  • Ability to act independently to take approved corrective actions.
  • Engaged member of Southeast Christian Church who supports the Statement of Faith. Submits to the leadership established by the church and lives out our church mantra in tangible ways.
