WHAT YOU’LL ACTUALLY BE DOING:

  • Ensuring proper volunteer staffing for weekly services (over 100 volunteers every week)
  • Recruiting, training, equipping and retaining volunteers in Preschool Ministry
  • Shepherding and encouraging preschoolers, parents, and volunteers
  • Helping with Special Events throughout the year
  • Implementing large group worship and small group programming and curriculum
  • Adapting curriculum to meet the second hour programming need at the Blankenbaker campus
  • Collaborating with other staff to ensure curriculum supplies are readily available for each service
  • Participating in weekly meetings for Blankenbaker Children’s Ministry team and Early Childhood team
  • Work alongside Early Childhood leader and other associates to execute ministry objectives each week

OUR MUST-HAVES:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years of related experience
  • Proficient in basic computer skills
  • A heart for ministry with preschool aged children
  • Ability to bring positivity and energy to the Preschool volunteer team and Early Childhood team
  • Ability to build and manage effective volunteer teams and develop and equip volunteers
  • Ability to provide pastoral care and support to preschoolers, parents, and volunteers
  • Excellent communication, administration, organization multi-tasking skills
  • Adaptable to change
  • Engaged member of SCC (or willing to become one) who supports the Statement of Faith, submits to the leadership established by the church, and lives out our church mantra in tangible ways
