WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

• Primary oversight of SE!KIDS Ministry from birth through the 5th grade
• Cast vision for the SE!KIDS Ministry; recruit, lead, disciple, train and empower volunteers to disciple children
• Plan and program weekend SE!KIDS services including writing/modifying curriculum, scheduling volunteers, ordering supplies, and maintaining set-up/tear-down of portable church containers
• Collaboratively implement family discipleship resources and programs (family dedication, parenting classes, baptism, camps, etc.)
• Engage in pastoral conversations with children using developmentally appropriate language
• Build relationships with parents and equip them to disciple their children on a daily basis
• Attend and participate in staff and team meetings, as needed
• Participate in campus staff's ongoing outreach to the community (special events, worship nights, family connect events, etc.)
• Develop and maintain annual budget for SE!KIDS Ministry

• Biblically grounded philosophy of Children's Ministry; demonstrated ability to shepherd/disciple children
• Live in Nelson County or willing to relocate within first year
• Organizational/administrative skills
• Adaptable and flexible with a tough skin
• Gifted in teaching children in age-appropriate and creative ways
• Live out spiritual disciplines and a close, personal walk with the Lord
• Commitment to leading a small group or attending one
• Confidence with ability to lead adults but also to humbly follow
• Willingness to ask for help or seek support when needed
• Demonstrated compassion toward others
• Excellent steward of resources, both physical and financial
• Bachelor's degree; ministry degree preferred but not required
• 3-5 years of experience in children's ministry or related field preferred
• Engaged member (or willing to become an engaged member) of Southeast Christian Church who supports the Statement of Faith, submits to the leadership established by the church and lives out our church mantra in tangible ways
