Description

Summary/Objective

The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for providing support to the Director of Communications and Office Manager, as well as the rest of the team as needed. Their primary role is to assist the team by utilizing organizational skills and detailed methods that help keep the team functioning well within the office environment. The person in this role would have a heart for service and also exhibit a hospitable attitude to everyone who has contact with Communications for the purpose of promoting the mission, vision and strategies of Southeast Christian Church.

 

Essential Functions

  • Assist with the calendar, appointments, and correspondence for the Director of Communications
  • Attend meetings and conference calls to take notes and properly distribute recap notes/action statements
  • Schedule conference rooms and handle meeting details
  • Complete purchase requisitions and assist with expense reimbursements for team members
  • Maintain inventory of office and workroom supplies and order as needed
  • Assist with monthly budget processes
  • Monitor Communications email box and send updates as needed
  • Properly route requests that come in outside of Communications’ established intake system
  • Assist as needed with large format printing needs
  • Maintain records of contracts, subscriptions, and other documents

Required Education, Experience, and Membership

  • 3+ years of administrative work experience
  • Engaged member of Southeast Christian Church who supports the Statement of Faith and submits to the leadership authority established by the church
