To help make the campus an inviting, clean, well-organized facility where all can gather without distraction to fulfill the mission, vision, and strategies of Southeast Christian Church. Responsibilities include helping with daily furniture set-up, special event set-up, and cleaning in designated areas. Our mission is to remove obstacles so people can worship. This position is Monday-Friday daytime hours with weekend rotation every 8-10 weeks. Occasional evening, weekend, and holiday shifts are required.

Essential Functions

• Cleaning of designated areas of the campus including glass, surfaces, and floors, removing trash, cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, dusting, and other janitorial duties.
• Setting up and tearing down rooms for groups and event that varying weekly.
• Confident to work independently or closely with the team.
• Assist other facility teams in a cross functional manner.
• Clean, sanitize and safely dispose of biological waste.

Required Education, Experience, and Membership

• High School degree (or equivalent).
• Basic computer skills.
• Residential or commercial janitorial experience a plus, but will train the right person
• Attention to detail
• Basic knowledge of cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Willing to be trained on large janitorial equipment
• PPE and Blood Born Pathogen training provided upon employment
• Agreement with SECC Statement of Faith, member or willing to become one, and submission to the leadership established by the church.
