Are you an ordained pastor with a passion for discipleship?  Are you a gifted teacher and speaker?  You may be the person God is calling to guide adults at our Crestwood campus to take the next step in their spiritual journey.  The Connections Pastor will interact with visitors, maintain a presence in the atrium, equip decision guide volunteers, equip Christ-followers, and establish small groups at this campus that over 3,000 people attend weekly.  If that sounds like your calling, check out the details below:

Essential Functions

• Work with the Campus Pastor and others to develop and implement strategies for the campus.
• Oversee the multi-faceted assimilation process from visitor to engaged member in alignment with SCC’s disciple-making strategy.
• Provide pastoral care and oversight for on-campus small group environments and work with community pastors for off-campus small groups.
• Provide oversight and leadership to the First Impressions ministry.
• Oversee group engagement in alignment with SCC’s disciple-making strategy.
• Oversee the new member process and the First Step class.
• Participate in pastoral responsibilities such as hospital visitations, baptisms, weddings, funerals, MOC, etc.
• Perform platform host responsibilities as needed.

• Thorough understanding of Biblical disciple-making and the ability to communicate it to others.
• Ability to shepherd, recruit, train, and empower volunteers.

Required Education, Experience, and Membership

• Ordained pastor with a Bachelor’s degree in Bible, Ministry, or Christian Education required.
• 5+ years ministry experience in a church setting.
• Engaged member of Southeast Christian Church who supports the Statement of Faith and submits to the leadership established by the church.
