Summary/Objective
The MSM Groups Associate is responsible for leading, overseeing, developing, and fostering a culture that helps to root middle school students in their faith within the context of building up believers. They will seek to create environments that provide students with the opportunities and resources to build strong foundations in their faith. The MSM Groups Associate will help to maintain alignment with the mission, vision, and strategies of Southeast Christian Church.
Essential Functions:

Weekly face to face time with group leaders from middle school ministry for shepherding and encouragement.

Multiply by creating ministry teams that help lead, train, and encourage leaders.

Provide weekly coaching, training and developing opportunities for volunteers to become disciple makers in the lives of students

Collaborating in writing, producing, and packaging curriculum for groups on a quarterly basis

Consistently recruiting MSM volunteer group leaders

Creating pathways of communication and connection with parents and families

Connecting new students and adults in disciple making opportunities

Weekly face time with students and parents

Be connected and invested with at least one school in JCPS

Oversee recruiting and organization of leaders for Believe, MIX, & Fall Retreat

Work with Connections Associate on Middle School Ministry team to help leaders better connect students into their groups.

Respond and work through volunteer conflicts as they arise in a Biblical manner

Required Education, Experience, and Membership:
- 3-5 Years working in Ministry
- High School diploma required
- Engaged member of SECC; supporting the Statement of Faith and submitting to the leadership established by church
