WHAT YOU’LL ACTUALLY BE DOING:

  • Assist in building and maintaining healthy staff culture.
  • Proactively build relationships with assigned campuses, ministries, and staff; encourage, celebrate, and serve staff in all matters of employment, ranging from recruitment and selection to exiting employment.
  • Provide guidance to staff and leaders; address questions and concerns promptly and within established guidelines.
  • Assist in the recruitment of new staff; shepherd the interview and selection process.
  • Communicate information to applicants and staff with truth and grace. Utilize “Matthew 18” principles to address conflicts.
  • Partner with the HR Manager on highly confidential or sensitive situations.
  • Partner with staff on training and development opportunities.
  • Build, maintain, and improve HR processes and reports, including metrics, surveys, and performance reviews. Utilize data management systems.
  • Assist in onboarding new staff, staff communication, and benefits administration, as needed.
     

OUR MUST HAVES:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to lead self and others well to facilitate creative problem solving
  • Working knowledge of human resource concepts; extensive knowledge of the church culture and its ministries
  • Ability to initiate projects, to remain focused and organized, and to attain strategic goals within stated timelines
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and multiple projects
  • Ability to work under pressure in a confidential environment with the upmost integrity
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs; able to learn other systems quickly 
  • Bachelor degree required plus 3-5 years of related experience; ministry experience preferred
  • SHRM-CP certification a plus; or willing to pursue certification
  • Engaged member of Southeast Christian Church (or willing to become one) who supports our Statement of Faith, submits to the leadership established by the church, and lives out church Mantras in tangible ways
