Description
Do you have a heart for children and a passion for helping them understand God’s love? Do you have experience partnering with volunteers and parents to disciple children? Would you enjoy being a part of a new Southeast campus family? The River Valley Children's Ministry Leader will oversee the children's ministry for ages birth to the 5th grade and recruit, equip, and lead volunteers. Come join a campus team that is engaging in on-going outreach to the community while maintaining the mission, vision, and strategies of Southeast Christian Church.
Essential Functions
- Oversight of Ministry from Birth – 5th Grade to put forth a unified family ministry.
- Plan and program weekend services including writing/tweaking curriculum, scheduling volunteers, ordering supplies and maintaining orderliness of rooms.
- Shepherd, lead, disciple, train and empower a base of volunteers to disciple children.
- Collaborative implementation of various family discipleship resources and programs, such as baptism.
- Partner with parents and equip them to disciple their children on a daily basis.
- Attend and participate in staff and team meetings.
- Participate with campus staff in on-going outreach to the community (special events, worship nights, Family Palooza, etc.).
- Develop and maintain annual budget for Children’s Ministry.

Required Education, Experience, and Membership
- Bachelor’s Degree in Ministry preferred; or equivalent experience.
- Engaged member, or willing to become, member of Southeast Christian Church who supports the Statement of Faith and submits to the leadership established by the church.
