Description

The Creative Director of Film will be responsible for all aspects of Production and will be challenged to use their creative vision and strategic thinking oversee and deliver exceptional and captivating content.  Are you a relational leader with a servant's heart? As the Creative Director of Film, you will play a crucial role in leading and shaping our team of Content Creators. The Creative Director of Film will also have the responsibility of leading and shepherding staff, contractors and volunteers for all weekend services and special events. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional leadership skills, exemplary time management, and the ability to actively participate in leading shoots and owning edits.

What You’ll Actually Be Doing:        

 

  • Team Leadership: Guide our team of Content Creators, ensuring their efforts align with the needs and objectives of the church. Foster a positive, collaborative, and creative environment that encourages growth and innovation.
  • Active Participation: Not only will you direct, but you'll also dive in hands-on, leading shoots, participating in editing processes, and bringing your unique vision to our projects.
  • Resource Management: Work closely with our team of producers to ensure all our Content Creators have the necessary resources, tools, and support to produce their best work within the allotted time.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with various ministries within our church, including our preaching department, worship team, and marketing team, to ensure a cohesive vision and unified messaging across all outputs.
  • Visual Consistency: Collaborate with graphic designers and photographers to maintain a consistent, high-quality visual aesthetic across

 

 

You should already own these:

 

  • Exceptional time management skills, with the ability to multitask, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong understanding and hands-on experience of the technical aspects of filmmaking, including shooting and editing.
  • Excellent collaboration and relationship-building skills, with experience working across teams and departments.
  • In-depth knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Premiere Pro and After Effects.
  • Proficient problem-solving and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to execute and deliver content within tight deadlines.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Required Education, Ministry Experience, and SECC Membership:

 

· SECC membership required, or willingness to become a member

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

· Experience within/around a large church environment
