Summary/Objective

The First Impressions Leader will provide structure and leadership to assure that everyone entering the campus is made to feel welcomed, valued, loved and served while they are at the Blankenbaker Campus. This responsibility begins from the time someone turns into the parking lot until they leave the lot. The First Impressions Leader will ensure that everything is done in such a way to accomplish the primary purpose of achieving the mission, vision, and strategies of Southeast Christian Church.

 

Essential Functions

  • Establish the tone and provide the primary leadership in creating a culture of serving by recruiting, training, and retaining a crew of volunteers to welcome everyone onto the campus
  • Responsible for leading, equipping and casting ministry vision (Moving people from a Welcomed & Comfortable Guest to an Engaged & Connected Member)
    • Greeting teams – Inside and Outside

    • Connection Center-Guest Central

    • Café 920

    • Catering

    • Parking
  • Work closely with the Events Ministry team to ensure success of events at BB Campus
  • Responsible for recruiting, training, retaining and appreciating volunteers on the Greeting teams.
  • Be alert to the First Impression of the common areas of the church. Be sure that they are not a distraction for guests coming into building. (ie., furniture, boxes, junk, etc.)
  • Maintain First Impressions database in ROCK. Add new volunteers as needed, update and keep current job descriptions, clearances and background checks (including ministry safe), in conjunction with Safety & Security
  • Daily interaction/effective communication with staff, members, visitors, volunteers and community
  • Lead special projects as assigned

  • Gifts of Service and Hospitality is a must

Required Education, Experience, and Membership

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 5+ years of experience in hospitality, guest services and/or creating welcoming environments within the church or corporate setting
  • Engaged, or willing to become, member of Southeast Christian Church who supports the Statement of Faith and submits to the leadership established by the church
