SE!KIDS Ministry Nurse

The role of the ministry nurse is to work closely with the staff and volunteers to maintain and ensure a healthy and safe environment for our children. The nurse will primarily work on the weekends (10-12 hours a week or less) with occasional daytime/evening meetings and special events. This individual will have a passion to minister to our families as they discuss sometimes sensitive topics that affect their lives. This role is a sweet opportunity for ministry.

Essential Functions

• Evaluate children’s health concerns and speak to parents about it if needed.
• Decide if a child is putting other children’s health or safety at risk and communicate with parents if needed.
• Be proactive to improve and maintain safety and healthy guidelines at Southeast Christian Church.
• Assist staff or volunteers whenever needed.
• Be on-call when at church for health concerns for adults or kids.

Essential Competencies

• Nursing experience, especially with children, is helpful
• Passion to minister to families is essential

Required Education, Experience, and Membership

• Must be a Registered Nurse from the KY Board of Nursing
• CPR certified
• An engaged member of Southeast (or willing to become one)
