WHAT YOU’LL ACTUALLY BE DOING:

  • Work in collaboration with the SE Blankenbaker student ministry staff under the direction of the Student Ministry Leader
  • Equip and Empower the staff and volunteer leaders to “think Middles School” when it comes to our mission, vision and strategies
  • Be the primary pastoral/teaching voice of Middle School Ministry
  • Contribute to Southeast Student Ministry across all campuses as a partner and collaborator
  • Oversee Middle School specific programming that would include: weekly worship gatherings, summer camp, school year retreats and mission trips
  • Actively participate in meetings, lead meetings, and help other lead meetings that help all of the above
  • Engage in local Middle Schools through building relationships with administration and school-based ministries
  • Participate in High School Ministry when appropriate and available
  • Multiply through Jesus-based disciple making
  • Perform various ministry duties; such as, baptisms, hospital visitation, marriages, counseling, Minister on Call, etc.

  • Ability to balance working inside existing systems and follow leadership direction while casting vision and leading out on new ministry initiatives

  • Capacity to see areas of improvement - create goals, deadlines and see multiple projects (at a time) to completion
  • Ability to operate and thrive in a fast-paced, action-oriented environment which can be ambiguous and where priorities may change quickly

  • Commitment to professional and personal development (learner)
  • Ordained into ministry
  • Bachelor's degree in ministry plus 5-7 years of student ministry experience
  • Engaged member of SE (or willing to become one) who supports the Statement of Faith, submits to the leadership established my the church, and lives out our church mantra in tangible ways
