Description

Summary/Objective

The Early Childhood Ministry Leader will lead and equip staff as they help nursery and preschool children and their parents take their first look at who Jesus is. They will inspire, equip and lead ministry volunteers to pray over/with, teach, encourage and help connect young children and their families to Jesus and one another. The EC Ministry Leader will help to champion the overarching mission, vision, and strategies of Southeast Christian Church.

 

Essential Functions

  • Shepherd, equip and develop Early Childhood Ministry staff
  • Primary oversight of key elements within Early Childhood weekend programming
  • Collaboratively engage and retain volunteers by recruiting, equipping and shepherding them to do the work of ministry
  • Primary oversight of Early Childhood events, including Family Dedication, etc.
  • Ongoing development of prayer initiatives within the ministry
  • Relational/pastoral support among young children and their families

  • Initiates collaboration and building relationships
  • Experience in recruiting and equipping volunteers

Required Education, Experience, and Membership

  • College Degree (emphasis in Christian Education preferred)
  • 3+ years of Children's ministry leadership experience
  • Engaged member (or willing to become) of Southeast Christian Church who supports the Statement of Faith and submits to the leadership established by the church
