Description

Summary/Objective

The Connections Pastor for groups will connect new members and attendees at the Blankenbaker Campus into the life and mission of the church. He will execute a strategic connection plan to develop and launch groups, both on and off campus. This person will, also, work with volunteer leaders to connect members and attendees of the church into group life. The Connections Pastor for groups will continue to develop and cultivate a healthy volunteer culture that will uphold and promote the mission, vision, and strategies of Southeast Christian Church.

 

Essential Functions

  • Group Life
  • Working in collaboration with Ministry Leaders the Connections Pastor owns the attendance and registration data for on/off campus groups ensuring the church’s database system is current and providing reliable data
  • Ensure the Connections process/pipeline effectively and efficiently connects guests and new members with on/off campus groups through direct referrals
  • Partner with Southeast staff to leverage story telling channels (Next Magazine, Outlook, Social Networks, etc.) to frequently share stories of life change and multiplication so the disciple-making vision of the church is celebrated and championed
  • Collaborate with Campus and Community Pastors to:
    • Ensure individuals and groups are taking their next steps each time groups launch
    • Ensure that disciple-making training is being offered on a regular basis.
  • Weekend Groups/Semester Based Groups
  • Collaborate with Connection Pastors at other campuses
  • Administrative Duties
  • Attendance Reporting: all groups (weekend, weekday, home group, semester)
  • EMS: all room reservations and requests; room renewals
  • Group Registration
  • Childcare arrangements
  • General Groups support for leaders and teachers
  • Organizing monthly teacher trainings
  • Online attendance Training for all groups
  • Semester based group launch operations: communicating with ministries, gathering information for the Groups booklet, planning/executing - 3x/year.

Required Education, Experience, and Membership

  • Undergraduate degree required
  • Bible College and/or Seminary degree preferred
  • 5 years full-time ministry experience
  • Engaged member of Southeast Christian Church who supports the Statement of Faith and submits to the leadership established by the church
