You’ll lead a team of ministry-minded professionals to facilitate the identification, development, and shepherding of Kingdom Workers to unleash their full potential in Christ. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Leading a Team of professionals who partner with ministries to meet their people needs; cast vision and strategy and provide accountability to the team. Ensure the effective execution of plans; analyze metrics to set goals and make improvements.
  • Staff Training & Development: Ensure appropriate training and development opportunities are available to staff for growth spiritually, personally, doctrinally, and culturally. Partner with leaders to identify and invest in emerging leaders. Collaboratively create and invest in a leadership and succession pipeline. Support leaders in creating and executing development plans; facilitate one-on-one and group coaching and gifts assessments to leaders and staff. Provide support, feedback, and coaching to leaders and staff at all levels.
  • Staff Planning, Recruitment & Selection: Work with leaders to develop strategic staffing plans, succession planning, and workforce planning strategies that ensure long-term stability. Oversee an effective and efficient hiring/recruiting process to build a high functioning staff in a multi-campus environment, ensuring timely and honoring follow-up to all candidates.
  • Staff Performance: Oversee feedback systems that celebrate, care for, and challenge staff, including an annual performance evaluation process. Partner with leaders to develop employee performance improvement plans. Oversee the exit process for staff.
  • Staff Conflicts & Restoration: Ensure conflict resolution according to Matthew 18, providing counsel to all parties. Participate in elder-led restoration teams.
  • Staff Relations: Oversee staff events and programs that champion, celebrate, and encourage staff throughout their tenure, from onboarding to exit. Communicate information to staff in a timely and concise manner, including weekly HR Updates. Collaboratively develop strategies for measuring staff engagement and executing appropriate action items.
  • Staff Compensation & Benefits: Ensure the benefits and compensation strategy is positioned to fairly compensate staff. Design, lead, and execute an annual merit process and periodic salary reviews. Participate in quarterly Compensation Committee meetings with elders.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with policies and procedures, rules, regulations, and ethical standards required by law, the Church, and other standards adopted by leadership. Ensure an appropriate HR Information System and record keeping plan.
  • Oversee the ministry’s budget and keep expenses within established parameters.

  • A visionary and strategic leader with a passion for developing people; ability to collaborate and bring cohesiveness and clarity; ability to attain strategic goals within stated timelines and lead others to do so.
  • Strong understanding of different learning and educational pathways; demonstrated understanding of people and leadership development.
  • Knowledgeable in all areas of HR and benefits; ability to provide counsel to staff and leaders within established laws and principles.
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized; a multi-tasker with the ability to manage competing priorities. Ability to work under pressure in a highly confidential environment.
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable.
  • Spiritual gifts: teaching, discernment, and administration.
  • Ability to manage a budget and control expenditures.
  • Computer experience: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams; Applicant Tracking System and other HRIS experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of church ministries and culture; demonstrated ability to influence a culture of development.
  • A prayerful person who has an intimate walk with the Father, who is led by the Spirit, and who is a committed follower of Jesus.
  • Patient and pastoral in nature, able to walk with people with compassion.
  • College or advanced degree in Ministry, Education, Leadership, Human Resources, or related field.
  • 5+ years of related experience and a proven track record of leading people and stewarding/resourcing human capital.
  • Demonstrated experience in creating a culture of development, training adults, and education.
  • SHRM or PHR Certification (or working towards certification).
  • Engaged member of Southeast Christian Church who supports the Statement of Faith, submits to the leadership established by the church, and lives out our church mantra in tangible ways.
