Description

Southeast Christian Church is a place that everyone is welcomed and we want to ensure that "welcomed" is how they feel, from the time they enter the church parking lot and then walk through the church doors.  The First Impressions Coordinator is responsible for creating a comfortable environment so people can connect to Jesus and one another. If you enjoy meeting and connecting people, you are an effective communicator with the ability to inspire a group to action, while administratively maintaining the organization of processes; basically having the capacity to spin multiple plates at the same time, then this may be the job for you! 

This person will:

  • Recruit, Motivate, Train & Cast Vision for teams of volunteers to serve as: Greeters, Communion Servers/Preparation, Ushers, Building Hosts, Connection Center, set-up & tear-down teams for events etc.
  • Recruit and maintain Medical Professional Volunteers for Weekend Services & Special Events
  • Ensure the collection of offering follows all procedures set in place by the Accounting and Security Ministries
  • Utilize facility scheduling software and website to schedule and approve event requests
  • Maintain First Impressions volunteers within church database
  • Provide oversight to IN Campus Cafe
  • Lead special projects as assigned
  • Have daily interaction/effective communication with staff, members, visitors, volunteers and the community
  • Weekend & Special Event responsibilities to oversee and maintain all aspects of First Impressions

The ideal candidate will have a background building teams and coordinating events; will exhibit highly relational and interpersonal skills. They will know how to engage people to connect and build systems by which volunteer leaders can lead. Must be an engaged member of Southeast Christian Church (or willing to become one) who supports the Statement of Faith and submits to the Leadership established by the church. Above all must have a heart for introducing people to Jesus by connecting them to others through serving relationships.

This is a full-time position which includes working weekends, during services and some evening hours during special events.
