The Business Intelligence Analyst will identify trends, and build clear and concise visuals from analyzing large amounts of data. Providing the insights needed for the church to minister in such an ever changing/challenging world. THIS IS WHAT YOU WOULD GET TO DO:

  • Provide data/reports to support Church leadership in decision making process
  • Manage analytic requirements to describe, organize, integrate and share data
    • Build and support data integrations between various data sources and systems
    • Support transactional and analytical database systems
  • Develop long-term and short-term plans to ensure achievement of strategic objectives
  • Develop and manage relationships with various teams to understand data needs, objectives, and speak into their processes/decisions in regards to data
  • Translate data received to technical specifications
  • Design, build and deploy Business Intelligent solutions (e.g. reporting tools)
  • Develop and execute database queries and conduct analyses
  • Create visualizations and reports for requested projects
  • Develop and update technical documentation

YOU KNOW WELL:  

  • Ability to drive a project from a simple idea to the finished product
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks while remaining flexible enough to meet the additional daily demands placed upon schedule
  • Analytical - Can think, plan, and act strategically and relationally
  • Good understanding of data analytics requirements and trends
  • Knowledge of data lifecycles, data integration, data security, and the processes/system that generate data
  • Experienced with a variety of database platforms and data tools

OUR EXPECTATIONS!

  • Experience with Power BI, Data Analysis Plus, or Tableau
  • Proven experience as a BI Developer
  • Background in data warehouse design (e.g. dimensional modeling) and data mining
  • In-depth understanding of database/management systems, online analytical process (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework
  • BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field.

  • Be a member, or willing to become a member, of Southeast Christian Church
  • Demonstrated alignment with SE statement of faith
