Description

Do you have a passion for shepherding others to reach their full potential in Christ?  Do you have excellent project management and communication skills?   The Staff Development Associate assists the Staff Development Director in the development, coordination, and execution of staff onboarding, individual staff development, team development, leadership development, and resource development, while maintaining alignment with the mission, vision, and strategies of Southeast Christian Church.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Creates and manages the annual Staff Development Ministry calendar. Communicates events in a timely and proactive manner.
  • Plans, coordinates, and executes New Hire Basics training for new staff.
  • Oversees the staff ambassador program; recruits, trains, tracks and follows-up with staff ambassadors.
  • Communicates with staff and their leaders for onboarding and development purposes.
  • Plans and coordinates logistics for staff development events including Answering the Call, Family on Mission, and team/leadership development events. Schedules rooms, sends invitations, and manages other event details.
  • Assists with planning and executing individual staff development meetings in individual and group settings.
  • Assists with planning and executing team development and leadership development programs.
  • Collects and reviews feedback from various development programs; makes recommendations for improvements.
  • Researches development programs and best practices.
  • Assists with developing and updating various staff development programs.
  • Communicates frequently with staff in person, by email, and on the phone.
  • Coordinates other projects and events, as needed.

Required Education, Experience, & Membership:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Five or more years of ministry and/or training and development experience, including administrative experience.
  • Engaged member of Southeast Christian Church.
  • Demonstrated alignment with the mission, vision, and strategies of Southeast Christian Church and a willingness to submit to the leadership established by the church.
