The SE!KIDS Ministry Associate supports the SE!KIDS Ministry Leader in implementing the mission, vision and strategies of Southeast Christian Church as it pertains to children, ages birth through fifth-grade. The Associate will partner with volunteers and families to equip them to do the work of ministry.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead and shepherd: SE!KIDS Team Leaders, SE!KIDS Large Group Leaders, Invest in volunteers relationally
- Assist with recruitment, training, and retention (investing and appreciation)
Recruit volunteers strategically (do we have enough volunteers and are they in the right role?)
Process background applications, follow up with potential volunteers, and schedule volunteers
Training sessions and refresher trainings through meetings, email, or 1-on-1 conversations
Solicit feedback from volunteers and incorporate when possible
Send birthday/appreciation cards, phone calls, etc.
- Prepare and distribute weekly SE!KIDS Curriculum (both small & large group) and communication pieces by going through curriculum and strategically choosing activities we can support with supplies and resources (everything prepared and in place for first scheduled weekend service time).
- Load music and other worship elements into ProPresenter
- Work with volunteers during the week to set up for programming
- Attend required staff meetings and ministry meetings
- Participate in SE!KIDS ministry events throughout the year

Required Education, Experience, and Membership
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Proven communication skills.
- Critical thinking skills and the ability to multi-task projects.
- Collaboratively work within a team environment.
- Ability to model a way of living that inspires others to follow.
- Intimate walk with the Father, Spirit led, and grounded in the Gospel
A Southeast Christian Church member (or willing to become one) who supports the Statement of Faith and submits to the leadership established by the church. (Southeast membership is required)
