Our mission at Southeast Christian Church is to connect people to Jesus and one another as we love where we are!  The Connections Pastor has accountability for guiding all adults who attend the IN Campus to take the next step in their spiritual growth and guiding them into discipling relationships. This is accomplished primarily through interacting with visitors, being a present welcoming person in the Atrium, equipping decision guide volunteers, equipping Christ-followers, and establishing small groups. This pastor will also ensure alignment with the mission, vision, and strategies of Southeast Christian Church.

Some things you would get to do!

• Partner with the IN Campus Pastor & the Multi-Campus Disciple-Making Team to develop & implement strategies for the IN Campus
• Primary oversight of multi-faceted assimilation process from visitor to engaged member in alignment with SCC’s 4-chair disciple-making strategy
• Provide pastoral care and oversight for on-campus small group environments and work with community pastors for off-campus small groups
• Provide oversight and leadership to First Impressions’ Ministry
• Primary oversight of group engagement in alignment with SCC’s 4-chair disciple-making strategy
• Provide oversight for the new member process and the First Step class
• Participate in pastoral responsibilities, such as: hospital visitations, baptisms, weddings, funerals, MOC, etc.
• Rotating platform host responsibilities

You should be equipped with:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Thorough understanding of what Biblical disciple-making means and the ability to communicate it to others
• Ability to shepherd, recruit, train, and empower volunteers
• High relational and strong people skills
• Strong work ethic and a team player
