Summary/Objective:

The Early Childhood Ministry Associate will shepherd, administrate and oversee the weekend operation of Suites C - F (ages 1-2 years). This would include training, equipping, and communicating with parents, volunteers, Team Leaders, and other staff members. In all that they do, the Early Childhood Ministry Associate will be careful to maintain alignment with the mission, vision, and strategies of Southeast Christian Church.

Essential Functions:

• Shepherd, train and develop all volunteers and Team Leaders

• Communicate with Team Leaders weekly

• Make intentional touches with Team Leaders & volunteers

• Lead Huddle before each service (prayer, announcements, encouragement & instruction)

• Open & close suites for each weekend service

• Edit curriculum as needed

• Communicate with Support Staff to make sure necessary prep is done for curriculum

• Assist with and oversee yearly recommitments and new volunteer placement

• Oversee staffing of suites for weekends and holidays

• Recruit new volunteers on an ongoing basis

• Attend weekly team meetings and monthly staff meetings

• Available each weekend to Team Leaders, staff members and volunteers.

• Have experience with recruiting and training volunteers

• Effective communicator; both verbal and written

• Good at conflict management

• Is a team player with a positive attitude

• Loves people and has a passion to help them grow in their faith

• Computer literate; strong administrative skills

• Flexible and can move easily between multiple people/situations

Required Education, Experience, and Membership:

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred; emphasis in elementary, early childhood, children’s ministry would be helpful

• Engaged member of Southeast Christian Church who supports the Statement of Faith and submits to the leadership established by the church
