Description

 

We are looking for a Systems Administrator to maintain, upgrade, and manage our hardware, software, and networks. Your duties will include monitoring systems, installing and configuring software updates, performing backups as well as generally ensuring a robust, reliable environment for the ministries we support. This position will also be responsible for helping to plan our technology roadmap as it pertains to our systems, and software.

Essential Functions

  • Maintain on-premise as well as our Azure environments to ensure uptime, and appropriate resourcing
  • Install and configure software and hardware based on the needs of the ministries
  • Provide Tier 3 support to our Help Desk
  • Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements
  • Troubleshoot issues and outages with critical systems
  • Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls
  • Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies
  • Responsible for maintaining all technical documentation related to our systems
  • Provide design, deployment, management, maintenance, and support of systems in the following environments: Enterprise software distribution tools, Active Directory, virtualization, storage arrays, endpoint security, and databases
  • Manage backup process to ensure redundancy in our environments
  • Checks and responds to service requests from internal staff.

Essential Competencies

  • Must be experienced in Active Directory
  • Experienced in VMWare and Windows Server Management
  • Experience with Azure Cloud products and offerings including Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Compute, etc.
  • Experience supporting and managing Office365
  • Project Management skills are highly valued
  • Proven ability to drive a project from start to finish
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks while remaining flexible enough to meet the additional daily demands placed upon schedule.

Required Education, Experience, and Membership

  • Engaged member of Southeast Christian Church (or willing to become one) who supports our Statement of Faith, submits to the leadership established by the church, and lives out our church Mantra in tangible ways.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems or Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 Years experience in Systems Administration.
