Summary/Objective

This Missions Associate will have primary responsibilities for facilitating all aspects of Missions Classes and Muslim outreach in order to identify, equip and mobilize Southeast members while maintaining alignment with the mission, vision, and strategies of Southeast Christian Church.

Essential Functions

• Facilitate member engagement in Perspectives, Islam, Missions and other classes
• Recruit and Manage class volunteers according to defined policies and procedures
• Lead a group of volunteers to engage the Muslim community in Louisville
• Lead partnership with Muslim partners and opportunities to serve
• Preach locally to connect to local churches
• Partner with other mission staff to engage and equip members on their missional journey
• Engage staff family to connect their spheres of influence to Muslim serving opportunities
• Member of Mobilization Committee
• Other duties as assigned

Required Education, Experience, and Membership

• Advanced studies in Islam
• Cross-cultural Missions experience
• Engaged member of Southeast Christian Church who supports the Statement of Faith and submits to the leadership established by the church
• 2:6 discipleship training (done or willing to go through)
