Description

This staff position supports student and SE!KIDS’s ministries by organizing communications, behind the scenes logistics and execution of programming for student and SE!KIDS’s ministries. Student and SE!KIDS’s require a heavy amount of administrative work because of all the registration for events and clearing of volunteers. Our desire is for this role to handle the administrative tasks and events so our ministers are freed up to pastor.


Essential Functions

  • Develop strong relationships with Student/Children’s teams
  • Help organize and plan events, programs, and communications
  • Keep track of all attendance and scheduling of volunteers
  • Schedule and approve all weekday childcare responsibilities
  • Participate in one week of camp for each ministry
  • Responsible to lead, train and oversee volunteers for weekend preparation
  • Attend and participate in all appropriate staff and team meetings
  • Participate with the SW staff in ongoing outreach to the community
  • Coordinate with ministry partners serving opportunities
  • Oversee operations for Bible & Beach, Mix, Believe, Camp, etc.
  • Work with other campus administrative team to support all in events and fill gaps for other ministries when needed
  • Implement communication strategies through mailings, electronic updates, print materials and communications requests
  • Primary oversight of church database for Student/Children’s Ministry at SW Campus
  • Update social media and website when necessary
  • Build relationship and attend cross campus meeting pertaining to your ministry if requested
  • Develop a working knowledge and understanding of SCC culture, policies & procedures
  • Monitor budgets, handle purchases, check requests, deposits etc.
  • Assist in ordering supplies for Student Ministry and Children’s Ministries

Essential Competencies

  • Possess strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Previous ministry and volunteer recruitment experience preferred
  • Relational and strong people skills
  • Strong work ethic and a team player
  • Must love children and students and committed to reaching them one at a time
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office, Excel, Photoshop (Or similar)
  • Capable of easily learning new computer concepts
  • Flexible with a positive attitude.
