Do you have extensive experience with audio, video, lighting, staging and rigging in large church environments? The Blankenbaker Technical Director is responsible for supporting all technical aspects at our main auditorium. This person must strive to have a Christ-centered attitude in all things, working for the primary purpose of achieving the mission of Southeast Christian Church of connecting people to Jesus and one another.

Essential Functions

- Technical execution of weekend services and events in the main auditorium

- Assist with recruiting and equipping volunteers as directed by the Production Director

- Work alongside the Audio, Video, and Lighting Directors to research, design, purchase, and support equipment for the main auditorium

- Work alongside the Audio, Video, and Lighting Directors to create, implement, and support long-term equipment installation and upgrade plans

- Work with Production Director on budgeting, spending, and capital expenditures pertaining to the Blankenbaker campus main auditorium

- Develop and maintain healthy relationships with other ministry departments and campuses

Essential Competencies

- Strong working knowledge of audio, video, lighting and staging. Rigging experience is a plus, but not required

- Passionate about team-building

- Organized and able to manage multiple projects at once, yet remain focused on the ultimate mission/vision of the team and church as a whole

- Proficient at developing process and project management

- Working knowledge of computer systems and various office and production software

- Hard-working, but know how to have a good time; must have a sense of humor

Required Education, Experience, and Membership

- College Degree or equivalent experience

- Experience in technical roles in either a medium or large church environment
- A member of Southeast Christian Church or willing to become one; demonstrated alignment with our Statement of Faith
