Description
We are seeking a dynamic person to develop and lead a breakthrough college-age ministry that connects Students to Jesus and one another and inspires, equips and mobilizes young men and women in partnership with SECC to live missional lives.  The CAM Connections Pastor will help students connect at SECC and create and implement intentional pathways of connection, discipleship, and engagement for CAM students. In pursuing these objectives, they will be careful to maintain alignment with the vision, mission, and strategies of Southeast Christian Church.

 

Essential Functions

  • Vision casting/leading the monthly college gatherings as a catalyst environment for Connection, Vision and Culture setting thru diverse leadership team and core volunteers.
  • Creates a culture of community and belonging for college age students thru event planning, relationship building and the creation of environments where true Disciple-making can happen.
  • Engaged in relationship building/partnership on local campuses and ministries in the region
  • Creates/Develops and oversees weekly community nights that leverage a developmental pathway and environment for students to be discipled and leaders to be equipped
  • Oversee and develop pathways of pastoral connection for first and few-time visitors of CAM
  • Performs various pastoral duties, such as; baptisms, hospital visitation, marriages, counseling, etc.
  • Identifies, equips, and empowers volunteers to engage in the CAM thru Strategic planning, College age community assessment, inner-department relations and social media/communications platforms
  • Core Leadership/Volunteer Development & Multiplication of key volunteers
  • Collaborate with local College Ministries to serve the greater goal of moving the Gospel forward in our City

Required Education, Experience, and Membership
  • Undergraduate degree; Ministry/Bible degree would be helpful
  • 3-5 years of experience in ministry; College Age preferred
  • Ordained Pastor (or pursuant within first 6 months of employment)
  • Engaged member of Southeast Christian Church who supports the Statement of Faith and submits to the leader
