Description
Do you love caring for children and teaching them about God’s love for them? Are you gifted in encouraging and leading others who care for children? The part-time Weekday Childcare Coordinator will work 15 hours per week – primarily in the evenings – overseeing the care of children during evening events. This leader will recruit childcare workers, coordinate schedules and ensure a safe, clean, and fun environment for children to learn about the Lord. The work schedule will vary but typically involves two or three evenings during the week and occasional daytime hours.
Essential Functions:
- Recruit, hire and train childcare workers.
- Coordinate schedules for childcare workers and delegate duties.
- Maintain a safe environment for children and childcare workers.
- Partner with campus staff and other campuses to determine best practices and needs for each ministry.
- Adapt weekend curriculum for weekday events, as needed.
- Perform administrative tasks and approve payroll.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians.
- Provide first aid and/or seek medical help as needed.
- Set up rooms, clean toys, and perform other duties as needed.
Essential Competencies:
- Ability to problem solve and make unassisted decisions.
- Organized and detail oriented.
- Friendly and welcoming demeanor; work well with others.
Essential Qualifications:
- High school diploma; some college preferred.
- Certified in CPR/First Aid/AED or ability to become certified.
- Engaged member of Southeast Christian Church with a demonstrated alignment with the statement of faith and the mission, vision and strategies of the church.
