Description
Do you enjoy working outdoors and maintaining the grounds of a facility?  Come use your skills and abilities to maintain the grounds of our Blankenbaker campus and create an environment where people can easily gather and connect to Jesus and one another.  

Essential Functions:
  • Maintain grounds:  mow grass, edge grass, water lawns, feed and trim shrubs, tend flower beds, and regularly inspect assigned work areas to insure standards are maintained.
  • Operate power equipment, including:  all types of mowers, edgers, hedge trimmers, chain saws, pick up trucks, Gators, and tractor/loaders.
  • Adjust, clean, and perform minor mechanical work on grounds equipment.
  • Apply pesticides according to industry safety standards.  Identify common weeds and apply control measures.
  • Maintain roads:  patch pot holes, clean drains, sweep debris, and clear snow and ice.
Requirements:
  • Ability to operate a variety of gas-powered equipment, safely sharpen hand tools, and lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Flexibility to work at any time during the winter and on weekends during the growing season.  Willingness to work under inclement weather conditions.
  • Ability to work independently and solve problems.
  • High school graduate; some college preferred.
  • One year of experience in gardening/maintaining grounds.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Demonstrated alignment with SECC's Statement of Faith.
