Description

Summary/Objective

The HSM Operations and Project Manager will, primarily, work within the realm of home groups, disciple-making, and missions to create operational and logistical pathways of development for students and volunteer leaders to grow in their relationship with Jesus. They will assist and grow HSM through the management and implementation of logistical processes dealing with the day to day operations, as well as, create workflow and accountability on ministry projects and events. In all things, this person will help to maintain alignment with the mission, vision, and strategies of Southeast Christian Church.

 

Essential Functions

  • Inter-departmental Communication/Relationships
  • Work with Events, Legal, Communications, IT, etc.
  • Process Improvement (working with IT, Events, Legal, Communications, etc. to improve various elements)
  • Work with outside vendors, talent and venues for HSM trips & events (including contracts, riders, communications, terms, payments, etc.)
  • Logistic Input for Major Student Ministry Events (Bible & Beach, Camp, Believe, etc.)
  • Partnering within NextGen Ministry to brainstorm & develop ideas, concepts, people, training, process and strategies
  • Weekend responsibilities
  • Partnering with Programming & Groups
  • Assisting with HSM volunteers
  • Lead and develop weekend outreach team
  • Oversee the Student Worker Program for High School and College Age students

Essential Competencies

  • Ability to see a holistic view of Student Ministry as well as it's relationships with other ministry areas
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain long-term healthy work relationships with peers, supervisors, Team Leads, etc.
  • Process-oriented thinking, Ministry hardwiring, Refined problem-solving skills
  • Computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Excel & Word, Powerpoint and/or Keynote.
  • Ability to multitask and remain self-motivated
  • Project management skills
  • Team-player mindset
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A Passion for Christ, the Church, Ministry, and Students
  • Flexibility in schedule in order to meet ministry needs

Required Education, Experience, and Membership

  • High School diploma required; College degree preferred
  • Biblical background/training/coursework preferred
  • Events management, ministry and/or project management
  • Engaged member of Southeast Christian Church who supports the Statement of Faith and submits to the leadership established by the church
