Summary/Objective

The HSM Gen Creative Arts Leader role is responsible for leading, overseeing and developing the creative content of high school ministry programming in weekly services, and events. This happens in partnership with both the high school team leader and the high school worship pastor in both philosophy and program collaboration. This role ensures alignment with the vision, mission, and strategies of Southeast Christian as we use creative expressions for messaging.

Essential Functions:

• Weekly maintenance and posting in high school ministry social media accounts.

• Oversee the creative process of curriculum development in partnership with high school ministry teams, including but not limited to leading meetings, design creation, etc.

• Disciple and develop teams of students in their area of creative arts gifting

• Pastor high school students

• Have a healthy working relationship & partnership with Middle School and High School Ministry

• Develop creative content such as games, sermon elements, and experiences within high school ministry programming.

• Build relationships with other Next-Gen Student Pastors on other campuses and offer our resources to them.

• Shape skill development and disciple making of program volunteers in partnership with Production Arts.

• Lead the execution of creative elements in off-site events such as retreats, celebration services, outreach events.

• Weekly presence in high school ministry services

• Weekly communication touchpoints with all high school ministry staff

• Oversee and organize the use of the Next Gen Dropbox

• Oversee creative arts equipment (cameras, mics, etc)

• Oversee seriesrocket.com uploads and maintain the site

• Package content from high school ministry

• Strong understanding of worship service programming, and ability to recruit, equip and train others to serve in all areas of Next Gen programming

• 2-3 Years Working in Student Ministry and/or Worship Leading within the Context of the Local Church/Parachurch Ministry

Required Education, Experience, and Membership:

• High School diploma required

• Experience in leading worship in ministry contexts of 100-500

• Engaged member of SECC; supporting the Statement of Faith and submitting to the leadership established by church

• Ordained or moving towards becoming an Ordained Minister.
